In 1995, Sporting Chance and former UA player Steve Kerr created the Wildcat Dream Invitational, an annual fundraiser celebrating Tucson basketball and raising money for a variety of local charities.
Thanks to the support of Coach Lute Olson and our sponsors, most notably Bank of Tucson which sponsored the event throughout most of its 13 year run, the Wildcat Dream Invitational raised nearly half a million dollars for local charities, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson, Arizona Children's Home, University fo Arizona Alumni Scholarship Fund, and the Arizona Cancer Center Division of Women's Cancers, an initiative undertaken in memory of Bobbi Olson.
With the arrival of Coach Sean Miller in 2009, the Wildcat Dream Invitational has been "reincarnated" as Coaches Night Out, continuing Sporting Chance's commitment to support important causes in the Tucson community, not just youth basketball.
We hope you will join us for Coaches Night Out each fall to celebrate the UA basketball tradition, tip-off the upcoming season, and raise money for important youth and health initiatives in Pima County.
