Sporting Chance Summer Slam

The Summer Slam has been a tradition in Tucson since 1994. Held on the University of Arizona campus, it is one of the largest tournaments in the Southwest, attracting a diverse mix of teams that makes it a unique and competitive experience.

Due to limited facility space, and the popularity of the Summer Slam, this tournament sells-out every year. Make sure you are on our mailing list so you do not miss your chance to register. Email us at director@sportingchance.org to get on the mailing list.

Below are the QUICK FACTS for our 2008 Summer Slam. (Note: For future planning, the Summer Slam is generally held the second or third weekend in July.)

Dates: Friday-Sunday July 11-13, 2008 (no games before 3:00 PM on Friday)
Where: University of Arizona - Bear Down Gym and Student Rec Center
Divisions: Boys (open): 9u/3rd - 15u/9th. Girls: 16u, 14u, 12u (if demand). 
Format: 4-game minimum
Cost: $295/team (support available for Tucson area teams)
